Airtime free wireless communications for business & personal use!

A reminder may be in order.  This web site deals specifically with radios that can be used by individuals or groups FOR PERSONAL USE!  If you have reviewed our other sections on FRS, GMRS, and MURS, you know that all of these services are available for individual use.  Some can be used both for personal and business use (FRS and MURS).  One requires an FCC license (GMRS) while the others do not.  Two are UHF (FRS and GMRS) while MURS operates in the VHF band.  Now we are ready to move up to a notch to a relatively uncommon form of unlicensed 2-way radio.  We call it FHSS!

FHSS (Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum) operates in the 900 MHz band (kind of like upper UHF when you think in terms of TV).  FHSS does not operate on a single frequency or group of frequencies as is the case with the other personal radio services.  FHSS hops around within a band of frequencies on a dynamic basis in a digital rather than an analog mode (All the other systems operate in an analog mode).  FHSS radios operate on an unlicensed basis in the Industrial, Scientific, Medical (ISM) band and be operated by personal, business, or governmental users in COMPLETE PRIVACY (scanners and other FHSS users cannot detect hopping digital signals).

We offer a single choice in FHSS radios - the DTR650 by Motorola.  We are not permitted to advertise pricing on the Internet due to a contractual provision.  However, we can tell you that the DTR costs about a third more than a good quality Ritron or TEKK GMRS radio.  Or, if you contact us by phone (800.489.2611) or email (sales@falcondirect.com), we'll be glad to provide pricing on request.

There are some compelling reasons to consider the DTR650.  Rather than getting into the details here, we suggest you go to www.dtr2way.com for the full story on this incredible product.  We can tell you this - nothing else even comes close in terms of performance, battery life, size, weight, privacy, features, or value.  Check it out - you'll see.

In closing, we will share our comments to a recent question about the DTR650. We were asked if there was a new model coming out since the DTR650 has been on the market for several years.  The answer, to the best of our knowledge is No.  It is a state of the art technology product in every respect and complies with all FCC technical standards beyond 2018. You may see a mobile or a fixed station at some point in the future with the same power and features.  Otherwise, we believe that what you buy today will be the same product you will buy five years from now.  If you want the maximum assurance of freedom from obsolescence, your best choice is the DTR650 for today, tomorrow, and down the road.
